Parish and School Context
Eucharist within itself defines the meaning of people or a whole community coming together to celebrate the body and blood of Christ which allows for us to lead lives as Christ did. Therefore as a community, with both the school and parish means to come together as often as possible to retain the same form of relationship. Through aspects such as celebrations and Saints days both Schools and Parishes can and will work together to form experiences for students to enable and enrich their personal relationships with Christ as well as to further understand the faith. Bounding both elements allows for more participation of important peoples within the school environment. Through day visits from Priests, allows for students to be further connected to the faith as the information that the Priest imparts can and will relate the daily lives of the students. This can also allow for evangelization for those who have not yet found the faith. The simplified path of allowing for faithful practices and discussion works to further engage and connect the students with the Catholic faith. (West, 2012) Working alongside a Parish allows for opportunities for all members of the community including students, parents and teachers to truly discover exactly how prayer in its numerous forms is central to the life of the parish.
